Organization is Key
As
the semester is coming to an end and I am about to enter the workforce with an
internship I thought it would be great to do some prep work on important
actions to take while at work. One key trait is to keep organized. This will
help myself achieve the highest efficiency level, but also will be beneficial
to my relationships with fellow coworkers. As an intern, I will most likely be
asked to do small projects for multiple people and if I can’t keep everything
inline and easily understood, my managers and co-workers might not ask for my
help again. This is crucial, because the more projects given, the more ways I
will be able to prove my worth in the organization.
Later
on in my career, I will hopefully achieve some level of a management position.
In this role, organization is even more crucial due to more responsibilities with
higher importance. After practicing organization for so many years, it will
just become a good habit and I won’t have to think twice about it. This will be
great because I can improve efficiency and really value all the time I put into
work hours. If I do achieve a management role, hopefully I can be a good role
model to others and help them realize the importance of organization as well.

Hi Molly,
ReplyDeleteOften I struggle with organization but can see how much it easier it is to have everything organized rather than all over the place. I try to write out what I hope to accomplish each week and check it off as I complete it. I often will write everything done even if it is as simple as sending an email because it is nice to see completed tasks as you move throughout the week.
I really related to this post because as you know, we both struggle with organization skills and are huge procrastinators. I agree that we both need to work on being more organized this summer as we enter our internships. Hopefully, when we come back in the fall we will be a little more organized.
